With the water break now finished for clubs and counties will colleges follow suit?
Already gone.

I’d done a game on Tuesday and it was still happening at colleges..

Glad to see the back of it
Last night was the first games since water breaks was scrapped and they should have been scrapped much sooner. Can start next on getting rid of the forward mark.

Having the train to myself for the commute.

I concur, my bus and train journeys during the first lockdown.

Hard earned and a important win in the battle for top 4.

Rangnick rewarded with his ambitious subs and pushing for the win, Moyes gets nothing for his defensive football, zero effort to win and who simply played for the clean sheet and draw

I really didn't expect the easing of restrictions to be as rapid as has been done here north or south. I get in England as Boris is just trying to save his ass.

Six nations, national leagues etc be ok.
Maybe not as rapid given the cautious nature of the government over the last two years but the situation in hospitals currently has the numbers one would expect for the flu in any January. With this approach we and England as basically tackling Covid-19 as any other endemic respiratory virus like seasonal flu now and a successful vaccine roll out and less severe variant has greatly helped.
Except it's not endemic. The next variant we know nothing about
.

Current situation on this island is more or less endemic. The way omicron was dealt with during the pre and post Christmas period shall provide great confidence towards whatever the next variant will be. The lifting of restrictions replaces the previous pessimism with optimism.

Saw him in The Point in early 90s as some lad had free tickets.

Was the worst gig ever. He was in bad form and effed and blinded his way on, did about 30 mins, and then effed and blinded his way off.

But he is responsible for some mighty tunes, along with Jim Steinman, so he will be a legend always.
Yes classic songs and will always be a legend.

Last seen him live in July 2008 in a tent on the beach in Bundoran, it was lashing with rain and he refused to perform claiming the tent would collapse and kill us all.

He played the following night with many including ourselves having to book a 2nd night of accommodation.

1st half United although had 70% of the ball was so disjointed out of possession and only for Degea Brentford would have led at the break. In the end a good win in a venue where Man City, Chelsea only won 1-0 in and Liverpool drew 3-3. Three academy players with the goals.

13 minutes to play 2-0 ahead and should be closing the game out but no not with this group of United players.

Don't win anything with kids said Hanson in 1995 and he was a mile off. If he was a pundit today he would probably say you'll win nothing with such a flaky team and would be spot on.

Well done Fáiles. Best of luck in Semi v Leinster winners I believe.
Is this the first time we have a Ros Connacht Club double?
Of course the County will be without 8 and a possible 10 County panellists. The price of success I suppose.

Victim of poor scheduling and so called split season. Be interesting to see how all three Connacht reps fare in the All Ireland series.

Agree with the comments on the colour of the ball/roof/posts.

Current situation is not the best on that front.

Good competitive game - Galway slightly fortunate with the result after their first half performance.

Good workout for both teams ahead of the league.

I'd be surprised if overall scoring totals in football games aren't higher inside the dome (especially at this time of year) with the lack of wind and the sureness of footing on the pitch compared to outside pitches. I think it wouldn't be reflected in higher scoring opportunities but improved conversion rates. Hurling games could be affected too.

Yes the Dome environment increases the score lines of these winter games. Be something like 1-13 to 1-11 if played in Tuam today. Begs the question what Mayo was at last weekend scoring only 0-13.

A win and clean sheet. Far from convincing performance. Villa performed better tonight than their win against United in Old Trafford earlier this season.

Both VAR decisions was correct and Shearer and Lineker complaining about using VAR in the FA Cup  ::)

To give some perspective on ROI situation

2022
January 9th

Cases previous 30 days: roughly 400,000
In hospital 984
ICU 83

2021
January 9th

Cases previous 30 days : roughly 40,000
In hospital 1352
In ICU 120

The stays are much shorter in hospital now and 83 figure in ICU is mostly delta than the dominant omicron variant.

Congratulations to Pearses, the two point margin didn't do them justice but they'll hardly care.

Pádraig Pearses good value for their two point lead however silly errors including a stupid black by the keeper is keeping in Knockmore in it.
