Not at the game today but T Fearon's remarks about the 1977 game sparked my own memories of Paul Kelly on that day.  i was in the company of a Cavan man who remarked of his display 'That if Wicklow were the visitors and subjected to a refereeing display like that he would have been seriously harmed and could have no complaint'  He was so one sided it was hard to believe.  He appeared to take particular delight in giving grief to Ulster teams.

Who ever wrote that press release for Croke Park does not know his history.  The Aussies played Ulster at the Athletic Grounds back in the early 80s - I know because I was at it!

Lads, I am not an expert on photoshop but what I will say is that if it is a photoshop job any newspaper publishing it are leaving themselves open to a law case and that the damages to which the Kerry man would be entitled would make even the best payed (sorry - most generously expensed) county managers eyes water

I just found it strange that a leading GAA figure and columnist should ignore the most important thing to have happened in Ulster GAA that week.

The goal was a beut! Sublime early pass from Stevie from Kileavy!  Himself and his marker arn't great mates!

Attendance does not look good ! AFL cocked up big time in their preperation and marketing - second game should be in Melborne and a better team picked - why not Malthouse as coach this year?  Also Tohill must be well pleased!

Injury was a total accident - both going for a ball on the groend and Oz hip met Irish head.  A wee bit of handbags followed - nothing serious- shortly after.

A great win and Tohill must be well pleased after last year - I'm sure Geezer helped with the defense coaching and they all looked well prepared and up for it.  Our AFL players were also vital - their size and fitness meant they could not be pushed around and Hanley had one great shoulder whistled - in the wrong i thought.

To quote another ad 'I'm lovin' it!!'

Already they have had a big article in the Indo condeming the campaign- just like last year!  The PCs should remember that the more they complain the more Hunky Dorys love it!

Many years ago in a 4th div game in South Armagh my brother rounded the keeper and his tap over the line was kicked away by their umpire! When he roared ' For fxxx sake REf!' he was sent off for foul language.  Suspension was confirmed by the County Board and ever after he just played soccer!

Apart from a great game was it not terrific to see the crowd on the pitch after the game - Why was this allowed ?- do they not fall over and sue down in Kerry ? or was it too expensive to bring a load of heavies down from Dublin with the orange pastic to keep people off the pitch!

Just saw replay of sending off incident on TnaG.  Stevie was fouling but he was elbowed in the face intentionally - no doubt about it.  Armagh stay up due to head to head win over Monaghan - probable more then we deserve but we'll live with it.
