Probably been posted here before but the whole Noah Donohoe case. Apparently the cops are looking to question his mother now for breaching lockdown. The whole case stinks of either incompetence, a cover up or both.

The girls solicitor issued a full and unequivocal retraction essentially clearing his name. No matter what unfortunately for him he will always have the 'no smoke' attitude of people but it would seem that the allegations were at a minimum trumped up but more likely completely false.

From what I read, the allegations were about her being underage. Now she's admitting she wasn't underage.

Not just underage but also issues of fleeing the country, taking drugs, using his family to pervert the course of justice as she alleged they were in the Gardai etc. Serious allegations and will not go away easily.

Complete and unequivocal retraction. He will struggle to get his career back on track though which is horrendous when you compare for instance how Paddy Jackson got back to the top of his career with even more serious allegations against him.

PJ equally entitled to get his career back on track, and he's doing fine. But not 'back to the top', given the Irish provinces won't touch him and he won't get picked for Ireland.

Not saying he's not entitled to get it back to the top, simply stating he has and there were more serious charges against him. I hope McDermott has the same opportunity. I suspect he won't.

I think a lot of people on social media are jumping on allegations that while the girl in the Eoghan McDermott case may have been legal, she was still much younger than him, was still a minor and that it was inappropriate for someone of his age and his position to be in any sort of relationship with a girl that young. I guess it comes down to morals.

FFS. Remember the outrage at the time and while it didnt sound good, people were as usual mad to pile on without knowing any of the facts. Hope he gets his career back on track.
