Is anyone else hearing disturbing reports from Ireland's main Catholic Seminary about the culture there? I know Buckley's a bit mad but...

I'm not sure that this is an authoritative source.

Is moving a load of gay lads from Maynooth to Rome such a great idea???

Firstly the Irish College in Rome is an idyllic setting with which I am very familiar.A short stroll from the Coliseum yet while in the grounds you would never think you are in a major city at all.

Secondly the seminarians being sent there are not gay.

Thirdly any trainee or fully trained priests found using dating sites, gay or hetrosexual or abusing the celibacy vow should be expelled automatically from the ministry.

What about those who cover up such heinous crimes? Would you expel them also?

How do you know they're not gay, Tony?

Because Tony knows everything, and what he dosen't know isn't worth knowing.

Simple. If they were gay they wouldnt be sent to the Irish College in Rome.It is the equivalent to a young player being signed by Man Utd.

Seminarians do not take any vows of celibacy until ordination to transitional deacon.

Yeah, the catholic hierarchy in Ireland never move anyone to any inappropriate locations.
