Im just after finishing episode 7. Great series so far but not anywhere near as good as BOB. You dont get to know the characters as much. Major Winters in BOB was a complete legend, nobody like him in this series.  Must have been rough to go through that sort of stuff, however i think they seem to have got it a bit easier aswell compared to the lads fighting in Europe.

Henderson hasnt a chance of getting a sniff because everyone on the armagh team just looks for Stevie and when Stevie is on fire then i suppose you cant blame them. I just feel Henderson gets a bad press even though he is making good runs but he is always the second option when Stevie is playing. I thought he was doing rightly in the first half.

Martin Clarke doesnt live up to the hype imo, a great player who rarely wastes a ball and is great from frees but from what ive seen of him so far he is overrated or maybe i am just expecting too much.

To be fair to Clarke its pretty hard for him to live up to the unrealistic expectations a lot of Down people seem to have of him. To listen to some Down people you'd swear the Lord Incarnate had come down to play Gaelic football. He's a young fella adjusting to a level of football he's never played before and he's performed admirably so far. He wasn't great today but even at that his placed balls were Down's best opportunities for scores. No doubt he'll be one of the better forwards in Ulster over the next decade.

Thats if hes not away back to oz.  At the minute though opposition teams would be happy enough with him playing deep and playing balls in. Whereas i a centre half forward who runs at defenses and scores goals and points from play would be a nightmare for teams.  I agree though it is going to take him time to get back into it again and after a while all the hype will die down and he will be able to just relax and play like he did for St Louis and the Down underage teams. I remember him playing against Colmans in the semi final or quarter final of the McCrory and they put 2 men on him from the start  of the game plus he was dyingwith the flu and he still got man of the match, some player.

Walsh was named in the best for Sandringham, St Kilda 2nd side, this week. OReilly from Down is doing well for Richmonds 2nds, with Richmond being piss poor he mite end up getting a game with the 1st by the end of the year. Pearce Hanley is doing well for the Lions 2nds, hes expected to be called up to the lions first team this week. And Big Niall McKeever was named in the best for the Lions 2nd team this week.

How many did stevie score and how many where from play?

Swift and Finnian have done rightly for armagh. McDonnell is back to his best but i reckon he needs to share the ball about a bit more, he just shoots on sight when there is men in better positions a lot of the time.  Marty Clarke rarely wastes a ball and his free taking is good but he needs to get more scores from play if he is going to really worry teams. Benny has been quiet but is still going to end up with about 1-3 from play. Strange enough game but Armagh have been the better side for 70% of the game.

I wouldnt have Cj anywhere near the starting team until he gets his head out of his hole. The way he talks in his interviews you would think hes a 10 year veteran whos deciding to give the 'county' another go after hanging the boots up. There is doubt about his potential but he has done f**k all at county level so far to warrant the praise that certain reporters give him.

Anyone know a good place to get phone insurance for the Blackberry Bold? Vodafone is 7.50 per month, is this reasonable enough?

I played a season of aussie rules last year in Perth, its definately tough sport and with a hell of a lots of running involved.  They love seeing fellas show courage and bravery when going for the ball, anybody who has wing mirrors on when they play need not sign up. Australia has to be the most macho country in the world when it comes to sport.

Although Gaelic is much more skillful and a lot quicker. You should see the average aussie club footballer trying to kick a round ball, my god they are pathetic at it.

Fcuk...dunno about that! I'd imagine more skill would be needed to control an egg shaped ball, bouce it, kick it, etc, etc

I love the mark though and I hope it passed at the weekend in Newcastle.

Im telling you Gaelic is a much more skillfull game, aussie rules is basically catch, kick and tackle. The club to county step up is big in gaelic but the step up from club level to AFL is massive obviously because AFL is professional.

There was a fella from my clubs 2nd team who could jump on top of 6ft5 mens heads and take marks that you wouldnt even see in AFL. Never seen the likes of it ever before. Anyone whos doing a bit of traveling in australia and is heading to Perth, Mt Lawley Hawks is a great club to join.

Cousins was a great player before and Judd and Kerr arrived on the scene. The man was afl rising star,...true...

has about 6 or 7 All Australian awards, a brownlow, numerous club b&f awards, a premiership
,
all whilst he was on the whizz...fact.  Even his da admitted it.
I've been to about a dozen derbies and a few Eagles games and he did feck all tackling.

Same as Buddy Franklin, same as Palmer (Freo rising start who i witness taking drugs) and same as ur hero Jeff Farmer. The whole lot of them are on the drugs.

The half the AFL is at the drugs, do i need to bring up the Freo players who i witnessed taking drugs??  Cousins was a great player before and Judd and Kerr arrived on the scene. The man was afl rising star, has about 6 or 7 All Australian awards, a brownlow, numerous club b&f awards, a premiership, etc Yes he is a dickhead but no1 can deny he was a great player.

Listened to the game on the internet earlier (anyone know a good site that streams the games live) and sounded like St Kilda has plyers going down all over the place. Low scoring game by AFL standards. As i said before Marty Clarke is bound to ask himself why the hell did he come home while watching these games.

Cousins was and still is a great player. One of the best midfielders of his generation, dont listen to Aerlik hes just a jealous Freo supporter. Ive been impressed with Barlow from  Freo so far this season, highest possession winner in his 1st two games of AFL football. The Freo recruitment department done some job getting him.
