Team pretty much picks itself I think

Diaz or Jota - presumably Diaz
Konate or Matip - I think Konate had his first poor enough performance v Wolves, and that probably swings it in Matipís favour
Keita or Milner (if Thiago doesnít make it) - presumably Keita
All reports are positive about Thiago. Hopefully he starts.
With 5 subs, at least he can be risked if heís thereabouts.

United have imploded several times since Fergie has left without Ronaldo, if you'd have asked me a few months ago I'd have happily got rid of Ronaldo but he's been superb in recent months. United can't get rid of everyone and there's enough question marks around the likes of Rashford. Sounds like United are looking for a new centre forward although whether Ronaldo is going to put off a potential target is anyones guess.

Carragher has got something in his head about Ronaldo and refuses to budge, comparing it to Klopp getting rid of Benteke is just idiotic.

Now Carragher states United need to get rid of Rashford, he along with Neville have quickly turned into a pair of clowns.
Comparing Ronaldo to Benteke is certainly idiotic!
Even now, Palace would be far better having Fat Ronaldo off the bench than fat Benteke.

I think if Real Madrid came in with a 120m bid for Rashford, they would be right to get rid (no link Iím aware of, but there was talk PSG were eyeing him up if they lost mbappe). There could also be a case that Rashford would be better off at a new club with a fresh start. What should have been done with him was to send him to Spurs games to watch only Son. And to Liverpool games to watch only Salah. The two highest scorers in the league and just look at their work rate compared to yours. So cop yourself on.

Whatís the latest with Greenwoodís case? Someone mentioned no charges a possibility- is that because the woman is not pressing or the cops?

Theyíre going to have to put Thiago through a strenuous enough  session today or tomorrow, and I just canít see him making it. Gutted for him if thatís the case. It does look like Fab will be ok.

(I just caught the end of Phil Nealís career, so maybe Iím being harsh on him, but for me Steve Nicol would be my choice as best Liverpool right back. Jim Beglin looked potentially great as well on the left, but unfortunately his career was cut short so ended up unproven).

Time for Jack McCarron to have a massive championship game against genuine Tier 1 opposition. Heís done it in the league manys the time, and in important league games, but now is the time to shine on the bigger stage.

It seems that there isnít a lot of money being wagered by Kildare supporters on their team. Paddy Power is offering the following odds: Dublin 1/7 Kildare 11/2.
Well Wexford and Meath couldnít have made Dublin look better! No pressure on shooters, no pressure on defence.

Best for Dublin would be to come through a really tough game. With the objective being Sam, Iíd honestly prefer to lose, than to win by 10-12 points, as weíd learn nothing from the latter, and we definitely have things to learn.

The HURLING MEN who suddenly care about Westmeath hurlers...They are talking about Westmeath hurlers on an RT… show that has never in my memory put them on telly live.

GPA original Donal Og is now on board for a games promotion argument in spite of the fact that players at all levels are keen on a split season.

Can anyone confirm when the Dub hurling championship is starting as I see lads on Twitter contradicting the Sept statement?

Now games promotion is the big worry even though most GAA players can't talk to media during the season bar crappy press nights. Like we lose so many youngsters every year to simply giving up and we are worried about the Premier League and Munster Rugby?!

Let's be honest the fun is only starting now!

Dublin Senior Hurling Championship starts on July 20

Dublin Senior Football Championship starts on August 6

Dublin v Kildare - Dubs by 7
Kerry v Limerick - Kerry by 13
Galway v Roscommon - Galway by 1
Donegal v Derry - Donegal by 4

Offaly v Wicklow - Wicklow by 1
Carlow v Tipperary - Tipp by 7
Laois v Westmeath - Westmeath by 1

Longford v Fermanagh - Longford by 1
Leitrim v Antrim - Leitrim by 1
Sligo v London - Sligo by 7
Cavan v Down - Cavan by 7

Not sure what all the fuss is about. Soccer and rugby are done for the summer (after the two euro finals next Saturday). GAA has a complete monopoly on sports for June and July. Then club has top billing from August onwards. That is literally what the majority were asking for.

A lot of hullabaloo is because Tipp are out so soon in the hurling. Boo hoo, they were shite and deserved to be gone.

This is the upcoming fixture list:

May 28/29: Provincial finals and Tailteann 1st round
June 4/5: Qualifiers 1 and Tailteann QF
June 11/12: Qualifiers 2
June 19: Tailteann SF
June 25/26: All Ireland QF
July 2/3: [hurling semi finals]
July 9/10: All Ireland semis, Tailteann final, minor final (double bill each day)
July 17: All Ireland hurling final
July 24: All Ireland football final

Thatís fantastic. 9 weekends in a row. And apart from the first one, GAA is the only show in town.

While the Tailteann quarter-finals will have to battle with many other games for coverage, the Tailteann semis on June 19th will have the day to themselves and be the only football on that day. That will likely be the most high profile game many  of the 60 starting players will have played in.

Whoever comes through this first qualifier will be right back in the mix. One game, against a beaten provincial finalist, away from a quarter final. Things are going to start to heat up, June should be a great month for football

As I understand it, Maneís contract ends in summer 2023 too, but I havenít heard anything about Maneís contract negotiations (has anyone else?), whereas Sarahís has been in the news for the last 6 months. Maybe Mane is just holding fire to see what happens with Mo, or maybe Moís agent is just a dick who prefers to negotiate by media stories.

We donít have endless money, so canít afford to let either go for free next summer. So itís either sign them up or ship them off. Iíd prefer to keep both, and it would be a total sickner to lose both. Iíd be very surprised if they both donít maintain their standards for the next 3-4 years, but by then their value would have diminished, so Iím sure thatís part of the clubís thought process too.

Need replacements if one or both do leave. Carvalho deal is done. The couple of times Iíve seen him, he looked more like a Jones / Elliott type player, but Iíve seen some reports saying Liverpool see him more as a front 3 man.

Jarrod Bowen had been identified last year by our scouting dept as someone whoíd fit very well into the Liverpool system, although heís played really well this season so who knows what his price would be, and thereíll be strong competition for him too if the Hammers show signs of being willing to cash in. Bowen is a lefty, and weíd definitely need one of those if Mo left.

God retired years ago. Heíll have no impact on proceedings

Iíd say the Mbappe news means Real Madrid are more likely to make an offer for Salah.
