;D  ;D

😂. Tyrone were very flat for most of the game, completely outplayed. It'll be very disappointing for them after investing heavily in an outside manager. They did well on kick outs in fairness.
Speaking of outside managers, have yous boys found another Tyrone man yet? ££££

15 months since you first approached MOR to put together the most expensive management team ever assembled. Before last year's championship even started. Think about the massive lack of respect you showed to two bona fide Tyrone legends.

And think about how your year ended up as bad as ours. Relegation to div 2 and championship also-rans.

Quote from: bannside on July 11, 2025, 10:06:20 PMWhat's the odds on Tony McEntee with McKeague bolted onto the ticket? Would Derry supporters see that as an upgrade?

No.

Sorry to hear of Slaughtneil's Bernard (Bun) Cassidy's passing. A great guy, gone far too soon. Condolences to all the family.

Think he might be the last person to score four goals in a Derry championship match.

I was along the A5 today, the bit between Omagh and Aughnacloy. Saw one of the worst bits of driving I've ever experienced. This driver decided to pass me and two cars in front of me just as the climbing lane coming past Garvaghy ended. Not sure how he managed to get back on his own side without causing a crash. He got to the Ballygawley roundabout exactly two cars ahead of me.

Monaghan v Donegal - Paddy Neilan (Roscommon)

Tyrone v Dublin - David Goldrick (Meath)

Meath v Galway- Martin McNally (Monaghan)

Armagh v Kerry - Brendan Cawley (Kildare)

Hurson and Faloon waiting for bigger days out?
Or McQuillan and Cassidy?

I know nothing about rugby, but I reckon Marcus Smith and Duhan van der Merwe have played their way on to the dirt-trackers tonight.

Quote from: Norm-Peterson on June 15, 2025, 08:02:49 PMO'Donoghue stayed on the pitch to sign autographs even after the defeat. The same can't be said for some of the Derry players recently. It is easy to sign autographs when you are winning.
Shane McGuigan was getting photos taken with supporters after the end of yesterday's match. Didn't see him sign anything so I guess whatever point you are making is valid.
Yip, saw Brendan Rogers handing his gloves over to a young supporter at the end of the game, but I didn't see him sign anything either. Always good to back up a point like Norm's.

You'd hope for Down and Galway to meet. Then you could have four fairly epic quarter-finals.

Brendan Cawley refereeing.

That's the season over.

Quote from: seafoid on June 07, 2025, 02:48:18 PMI bet that all of the spnsors will be asked to pony up more money. That includes the GAA @15m and the Irish Govt @43m

Surely the GAA's 15m, or what's left of it, has been gathering interest as it rests in their account.

I see Michelle reckons Antrim Gaels deserve a world class stadium. Can one ask why, given that the combined crowds for all Antrim matches this year wouldn't have filled Casement.

Quote from: Champion The Wonder Horse on June 03, 2025, 08:31:18 PMI'm at a loss as to why anyone would possibly prefer Clones.
Love the relaxed party atmosphere pre-game around Clones. You don't get it anywhere else up North.

Yes, I'd be well relaxed after taking three hours to get there, being charged €10 to park in a field two miles from the ground with a fair chance of not getting out of it until the next day, paying €36 for two burgers and three chips and over-priced, flat, warm pints out of plastic glasses.

Ninety minutes to newry, park for free with 500 yards of the grounds, Friar Tucks, then decent cheap pints before the game and stay in the shamrocks club afterwards for a few pints to let the traffic die down. And still home before you'd be out of that field in Clones.

Would complete be a better descriptor than all-rounder? All-round giving off Daley Thompson vibes.

Quote from: Walter Cronc on June 03, 2025, 11:38:49 AMNo doubt the fools at CCCCCC will take Derry Dublin to Clones. Newry the obvious choice.
Newry or Armagh both probably better options. Why do you think Clones?

Bigger crowd of dubs can be accommodated.

Would prefer either of the other two.

Quote from: ONeill on June 01, 2025, 10:18:19 PMIf Mayo beat Donegal (can happen) and Cavan beat Tyrone (can happen), then Donegal are out, which makes no sense atall.

Mayo in massive diffs still. Tyrone will beat Cavan, which means if Mayo lose, they're gone on the head to head.
