Was thinking about the young Canavan lads tonight. In a few years we may have all 3 playing in the same senior side.
I'm not sure if the 3 McGuigans played on the same Tyrone side, but is there any family who had 3 brothers on the same team at county football level outside of the O'Se lads? Did the 3 McKennas play on same team?
Three Lowrys.
Three Connors brothers, but not all at the same time. Three Furlongs, but again not at the same time. The Furlongs' service spanned almost 40 years.
Meehans - Galway
Spillanes - Kerry
O'Sheas - Mayo
Brogans - Dublin
O' Se's - Kerry
O h'Ailpíns - Cork
Smaller families and siblings exposed to different sports means that three brothers playing intercounty will be an even more rarity.
The Reillys Cavan, Larry, Peter and Michael. Think Cavan had triplets in the squad at one time too, the Whartons.

All 3! Ruairi, Darragh and ?
Tommy, Vincent and Brendan McGovern from Down and Burren.
I don't think they played together for the county but Brendan, Collie and Gary Mason from Loughinisland, maybe.
In the 1955 Ulster Senior football final against Cavan, Derry had four Gribbin brothers on the team. Hugh Francis was right full back,Mickey was right half back and Roddy was full forward.Brother Owen came on as a sub so when the full time whistle went there was a quartet of four Gribbins on the field at the one time!
Were Cathal, Micheal and Martin o Rourke brothers in the Armagh team?

Brendan was a cousin. Don't think all three played together at any stage.

Yep forgot about them. 6 sets of brothers round the same time.
Kernans from Armagh- not sure how many played on same team.
The Kilcoo Branagans- I know a few of them have played for Down not sure again how many at once.
O'Neills from Armagh will have 3 or 4 in a couple of years.

The O'Neills and Kernans had all lads in the house, whereas the Mackins backbone both the men and women's teams.

3 donnellys from trillick, Sean, brendan and Tom
Peter McGee was on the Donegal panel along with the two brothers for a spell, including the AI run in 2012, but I'm not sure if he ever actually made an appearance. Definitely didn't in the champsionship as far as I remember.
Twin Grimleys and their brother Paul played on the same armagh team in the 80s. There was a few Killeavey O'Neill brothers on the Armagh panel in the same era, before Gareth decided he preferred Crossmaglen obviously.

Of the 17 Offaly players that played in the 1982 All Ireland final, only 6 of them didn't have a sibling in the field. There were 3 Lowrys, 2 Fitzgeralds, 2 Darbys, 2 Connors, 2 O'Connors
Mid 80's Monaghan
Caulfield brothers ( Fergus & Michaèl)
Murray Brothers (Ciaran & Brendan)
Recent Monaghan
Hughes brothers ( Darren & Kieran )
Wylie brothers ( Drew & Ryan)
3 or more on the same team as per the OP would fairly shorten down this thread.
What about first cousins playing for different counties
When Laois won the 1936 Leinster final brothers Bill, Chris, Mick and Jack Delaney played with their uncle Tom also playing at full-back.
Seven Fennelly brothers from Ballyhale all hurled senior with Kilkenny but not sure how many appeared together.
pretty Sure atleast 4 meehan would have played together in the league for galway there year caltra won the club champinship
Thomas Declan noel and Michael coudl even have been a fifth

Maybe only 3 at any one time? Good question and an impressive feat.
In the 1960s half of the Kilbride team in Meath seemed to be Quinns, and a number of them were stalwarts of the Meath team. They were hard men.

Can confirm that, for senior championship:
- Kenneth, Trevor and Conor Mortimer played for Mayo against Fermanagh in 2003 qualifiers
- Seamus, Aidan and Conor O'Shea played for Mayo against Sligo and Kerry in 2017

Did rory or Padraig Oconnor ever play Championship may have just been the league
When youngest brother Felix came on as a substitute for Armagh in the 1959 Ulster drawn championship semi final against Cavan at Castleblayney, an unique record was created. When he came on at full back, his brother Michael was on his right and his other brother John was on his left. Thus there were three McKnight brothers on the Armagh full back line! Apparently their other brother James was the best footballer of the quartet but was unavailable as he had joined the priesthood and served most of his ministry in California!
An interesting anecdote re the McKnights!Their sisters, Mary and Bridie, are married to two All Ireland 1960s winners with Down. Mary is married to Kevin O'Neill and Bridie is the wife of P.J. McElroy!
