They were talking about it on SC yesterday. Apparently there's a tiny corner of the county where it's pronounced like that. Either that or the entire media has been hoodwinked.

Impressive considering that Scotland finally, somewhat put it up to us. For a portion of the match.

Thought both teams looked quite tired and felt Pearce helped the Scots out a couple of times with some really strange decisions but at the end of the day it was same old story. Until Scotland can actually manage to beat us, they can never be considered favourites. Darcy Graham talking about Ireland being there for the taking was a bit daft, no matter how long he spent praising us.

Nice little cameo from Darragh Mur-ray as well. Thought he looked excellent.

Overall a very satisfactory 6N. Massive improvement throughout after the disaster in Paris. Few new players introduced and a few big names missing to come back. We'll still have a very good and competitive, albeit old, squad come WC time.

Yes but nobody cares what people in Monaghan think.

Steve Earle's wouldn't be Irish though, given he's American.

There's quite a few covers of non-Irish songs in the list, including obviously Nothing Compares 2 U at #2.

Just when I thought you couldn't get any worse.

It's a song for simpletons. You're the ultimate simpleton. Makes sense.

I'm pretty certain I saw the stunning play it live either before or at half time of an AI hurling final in the last 10 or 15 years.

In fairness, probably freaked out after trying to stop and then getting shunted onto the tracks by the truck behind.

Nothing wtf about that at all. Anyone not clinically brain dead knows intuitively how inflated the NI public sector is.

I mean, if he'd replied to the right person, maybe.

Of if he did reply to the right person, you'd really have to question how and your capacity for, well, quite a lot of things.

Quote from: illdecide on March 10, 2026, 11:34:56 AMYou wouldn't see that in the Premier League as it's a tourist league with half and half scarves worn by the fans.

Better than being a farmer's league etc

BMW X1

Has taken me all over Ireland following Longford. High speed chargers are becoming more and more available. For example, when Longford played Antrim a few weeks ago, I went a bit early and fully charged the car up there while I had my lunch before the match. The full charge cost about €20. A full tank of petheral would have been...........what.......€70?

20e still far too much to pay to have to watch Antrim play football.

I bought oil about three weeks ago at €0.912c/l. Just checked and it's currently at €1.379.

Quote from: bennydorano on March 01, 2026, 10:12:23 PMIndustry S4 back on BBC. Couple of episodes in and its looking good so far.
Was ok,  not great. I see it's renewed for S5.

Considering they clearly wrote it to end after S3 and then brought it back I thought they did a decent job of it. Jumped the shark a bit the last few episodes.

Watched S3 of Tehran. Enjoyable nonsense again even if Hugh Laurie is a bit weird in it.
