by superclubs i mean teams that will dominate their county and province and maybe all ireland for years could club championships end up with the same bunch of teams winning every year
Cross were in their heyday then of course.

It is crazy when you were born just 27 years after the second world war ended!!

How countries got back on track after that and where we are today
So in a few years, youíll have been born closer to WW2 than a new born baby was to the GFA.

Kilcoo are bordered by Castlewellan, Bryansford, Liatroim, Drumgath and Clonduff. I honestly don't know where they get all the players from.
Most of their main men are all related as well. Theyíre a special case.

could we be in an era of superclubs
Dublin definitely is. Corofin and Kilcoo would also qualify
Kilcoo a superclub? They have a tiny area with a small pick.

Can't see Ronaldo starting against Morocco either...his replacement tonight got a hat trick inside 70 minutes. Every dog has its day!

I see after the game he walked down the tunnel when the rest of the players went over to the supporters behind the goal.

He celebrated the goals, he was on the pitch afterwards and was smiling..

No doubt there was a camera following him constantly, the obsession is bizarre, social media, main stream media are constantly looking some sort of news.. crazy

In real news Portugal played brilliantly with three starters from the previous games.

Alright Piers we get itÖyou want to be his friend but I donít think he reads the gaaboard

Yet you still feel heís news worthy to post. Portugal blew away the Swiss thatís the headline, new Portuguese star scores 3

But the commentator yesterday ruined the game by constantly talking about Ronaldo, itís embarrassing
Yeah agreed. I was sick hearing about him, but his name gets clicks and views, comes with the territory of the career heís had.

It was good while it lasted! I was sitting pretty at the top there but my glory days have faded, with only Argentina and Holland left.

The Argies could at least get you to the final
Would be surprised if they even beat Holland tbh! Brazil looking seriously impressive too

O'Neill favourite, they are lined up to meet each other (possibly) Surprised France hasn't featured too much
I think people thought 2 in a row was unlikely
Yeah that plus injuries to Benzema, Pogba and Kante

England will be playing the first team this tournament that actually has real pedigree, they haven't been behind and have really enjoyed a charmed life, even the USA game while playing crap they were still for large parts in control.

The real pressure will be on next day out and Gareth will tighten things up and you are looking at penalties
5 at the back with 2 cdms. If not then Mbappe and Co will tear Maguire a new one.

I see caught on video in a nightclub shifting the face of a young lad who isn't his partner. Personally I couldn't care less but the silence of media today is worth noting. Would it be so silent if

1 - it was a woman TD caught snogging a man who wasn't her partner

Or

2 - if it was Mary Lou McDonald (this would be front page news for 6 months)
Or another male td shifting a womanÖ

Depends what party
Of course.
Anyway, Leoís business is Leoís business, as is Mary-Louís and every other politicians. As long as everythings consensual then the media donít need to be telling us about anything they get up to

All well and good but if the shoe was on the other foot LV would slaughter Mary Lou if it had been a member of SF caught in the act. In fact he'll probably say SF edited it to look like him ::)
Absolutely. Be headline news for a month with Joe Duffy flat out

Biggest issue with the North I believe is that across the board we want world class services. We want a world class health system, infrastructure, (roads, housing developments etc) schools and everything on our doorstep. Biggest problem is that we don't want to pay for it. God knows how much the health service needs to get back into shape, NIW state that they need two billion just to get up to standard. Yet if anyone dare mentions ways to fund this like water charges or streamline services we don't want to make the hard choices. We can't have it both ways looking a world class services without paying for it.

Same as the doctors and nurses you want more of them you gotta pay them to make them want to work in the industry.
I think a massive issue is the money thats being wasted. Obvious, easy targets like MLAís still getting paid or the ridiculous ppe contracts the Tories gave their mates over covid. People are taxed enough.

As good to watch as that Brazil team are I just canít support them with Neymar in the team.

Never a penalty either which killed the game, not that it would have mattered. Croatia will be better set up defensively to deal with them, should be a closer game at least. Nice to see the Pele tributes, would be very fitting for them to win another one for the great man to see.

That was about the worst collective set of penalties Iíve ever seen. Shocking from Japan.

It is amazing how a skilled team can fall on one particular small skill.
Isn't it ?

To be expected I suppose when you have a club team with the resources of a county. Hope Kilcoo beat them again

Need to get over Glen first. Only lost after extra time in the AI final and no Shane Walsh then.  Any chance that Mannion will be fit for the AI series I'd wonder.

What is the craic with mannion he seems like an injury machine spends serious time on the sidelines - be some addition if he was back and fit tho
Think it was the cruciate last year, could be wrong but know it was something serious enough, another long term one this year as well, awful frustrating for him Iím sure. Some loss to any team
