A lot of clubs have their own major developments ongoing. Creggan, All Saints, Ahoghill. Few belfast clubs also ongoing

The gear issue should've been sorted pre championship.

This Davy situation should've been sorted in house

After 2 very disappointing Joe McDonagh results this is a very poor look

Why not see it as a positive that some of the squad are being released for the games and work from there.

More game time the better

Quote from: whereshegoinref on April 09, 2026, 10:04:07 AM"All-stars" should be selected based on performances in competition. If they want to have trials and pick a team don't call it all stars, it's an ulster schools selection.

Nearly as big a joke as these teams of the week that have popped up, one particularly hilarious selection this week based purely on the incoherent (and inaccurate) write up given to the saffron gael by a clown on the ditch.

Are you referring to the 2 lads who post up a team of a week for a bit of craic? Do you want them to attend 16 games all on at the same time to do an accurate version?

Quote from: Na Glinntí Glasa on March 10, 2026, 09:08:49 AMBallycastle haven't fielded a team for the past number of years. They did enter a team in the league about 4 years ago but pulled out before it started.

Some of the Ballycastle lads are now involved with the new Cloughmills football side this year so its given them an outlet to play now.

Does this new team have any Cloughmills players or is it similar to the girls team?

Quote from: Saffsof82 on March 02, 2026, 07:19:38 PMU20 had a convincing win against Wicklow ahead of the senior game on Saturday. Reality is our u17/u20 football could be competitive with around half of the teams in the country , but in Ulster we have the underage powerhouses of Donegal, Tyrone and Derry , with the others not that far behind.

The argument is that hurling is in a bad place because we are in Ulster now we are saying football is in a bad place because we are in Ulster?

We aren't competitive in Ulster. Players need good games. 10/15/20 point defeats against Ulster sides isn't the right way to develop. Kerry havent played in the munster hurling championship for 20 + years

This is very true, always makes it look worse when you Antrim taking a hammering from the likes of Tyrone, who are year in year out favourites for the All Ireland at this age. Hopefully in time they will scrap the provincial competitions and place teams in a draw at their own level. An A and B competition essentially and progress from there

This should've happened years ago yes. Might make playing minor and u20 county more attractive.

Quote from: JonnyD_ on March 02, 2026, 10:33:43 PMWe definitely have more physical players in the county who have the skill to play at that level.

Overlooked or not interested call it what you want. But playing that type of game with boys who are sub 80kg is a no no!

I cant think of too many off the top of my head who havent been there before in previous years and for personal reasons/injury/age have stepped away

AS with half a reserve team out. McAleer back with the county will weaken them for this league campaign compared to last

Id imagine so after a county title?? Thats the attitude of the GAA now sadly. Lead your club to a championship and people think you'd leave to take another team and chase a few quid

Quote from: imtommygunn on February 23, 2026, 09:57:41 AMIt's great to see Dowds back in charge and I think that's a positive step too.

From what I could see I think we were missing the likes of McCormick too.

McCormick/ Dobbin two big misses. Fantastic win hopefully its not a one off

Dublin game possibly to Cushendall again then? Or Ballycastle?
