No...a clue here the answer is more than 1000 and less than 1200 legs...hope that helps (and don't forget the bus driver)

Cat + kittens = 6 cats x 4 legs = 24 legs per adult cat
4 cats per basket - 4x 24= 96
4 baskets per person - 96x4 =384
3 people with baskets - 3 x 384 = 1152 animal legs
3 people plus driver - 4 x 2 = 8 human legs

Damn you Illdecide. I remembered about the bus driver but was hoping no-one else would: here are my workings:

Assuming its legs after Bre gets off with her baskets?

Bus drivers legs: 2
Ailis' legs: 2
Darceys legs: 2

Ailis baskets: 4 baskets X 4 Cats= 16 cats X 4 legs= 64 legs
Allis cat's kittens: 16 cats X 5 kittens= 80 kittens X 4 legs= 320 legs

Darceys baskets: 64 legs (same as above)
Darcets Kittens: 320 legs (same as above)

2+2+2+64+320+64+320= 774 legs

assuming Bre was an idiot and forgot her baskets there is an extra 384 legs.
774 + 384= 1158 legs!
