Yes, i would have expected a serious stint in either prison or a secure hospital.

Strange that, people have been sectioned for less. Possibly they sobered up and could no longer be thought to be a risk to themselves or others.

Their behaviour was so aggressive that it is said to be similar to the effects after ingesting Angel Dust. Even the one with the compound fracture was struggling to get back out to get hit again and was fighting off 6 people trying to restrain her before being forcibly sedated.
