Just a general on, doesn't have to be too fancy.

I got a couple of refurbished computers from an outfit outside Belfast but wasn't massively impressed with them. They were grand but battery life wasn't great. Probably get what you pay for but that's the way it goes.

Looking for a new iPad now.

Any suggestions on best places to look?

Thanks in advance.
Apple store, an actual Apple store or online store. As discussed before here the wifi option isn't worth the fee.

None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

I can't help, but it always amused me when new televisions are adverstised on TV. Imagine seeing such as advert for a new TV on your old crap TV and thinking "Corr blimey, that's a great screen"

Not tv related but...

Anybody recommend a small projector for a presentation?  Have to do one next week - on to a white wall in a room!

Do they just link into your laptop easy enough?

Also, do you need the internet?

Give the vertical hold a bit of a turn and it'll come good

I just bought a new Samsung Smart TV. Why can't I get any RTÉ channels?

Cause it aint that smart lol. Channels should be around the 700 region, if u got a aerial previous which picked up rte.

Ha ha! I live on the border and have always been able to pick up all the Irish channels through my aerial. Nothing doing this time. I'm still able to access them through my dvd box so at least I have that workaround. Not ideal though.

Re tune your tv and select it as being in the Republic of Ireland.

No joy! Apparently no new UK registered TVs can get the RTÉ channels! I think I may take it back for a refund and buy a new one in Monaghan, will have to check out if that'll work first. Watters in Culloville might be a good place to start.

This has been confusing me for a while.  I have an RTE aerial but can only get the football on rte in the kitchen on my LG TV.

Recently upgraded the TV in the kitchen to a smart tv and couldn't believe it when I lost me RTE.  That was a Sharp TV.  Thankfully it wasn't great so took it back.

Changed to an LG Smart TV, all channels back and working great.

I live outside Belfast and can't understand why I still get the international matches on RTE and the Champions League on Virgin.  Not complaining mind

i rcently bought a black and white tv and I wouldnt look back. Especially watching the old shows from Laurel and Hardy and Chaplin. You wouldn't know the difference. And watched Thriller by Jackson and it was great on it too. And the TV licence is next to nothing.
