The price cut rumour has been going round sincee March time. Although the E3 convention is on soon so they usually announce something around then, think a new PSP is being launched.

As for the hard drive, only some will connect up to the PS3 via USB.

Aye I got one and I hook it up to the PS3 the od time to watch TV shows and the likes that i download...

But I think I am gonna replace the internal hard drive on the PS3 and keep the other hard drive for my laptop...

Apparently its simple enough to replace the ps3s hard drive, though I will need step by step instructions and will be shitting myself in case I f**k anything up!! Bye Bye Warranty!

Aye I think the big Sony announcement for E3 is the new PSP , have seen some photos of it supposedly and looks easier to use, more like a PS3 controller...

I have seen the new Ghostbusters game coming out and fancy a bit of it, looks good, story for the game wrote by Dan Ackroyd and one of the other original stars

Yeah the Ghostbusters game looks good. Very like the film. I hear there is a new Ghostbusters film out, but its going to be animated and have all the original actors back to do the voices.

Thats the job Arch. I have a PSP sitting gathering dust in my room this last year and a bit, I just didn't like playing it.... Graphics an all were good, but that tiny little analogue stick was shite!

So my updated wishlist of games:

Ghostbusters
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Fight Night Round4
UFC
Pro Evo '10

Then I also wanna get the EA Sports NHL and NBA games, was thinking about getting them soon but then I don't know when they will be releasing the newer versions? Is it round the same time Pro Evo an all release new games?

Dont go for the EA ones Our Nail, the 2K sports ones are the way to go. Played the recent basketball game, NBA 2K9 great game. Graphics unreal. NBA 2K10 probably due out in October like rest of the sports games. PES 2010 is out on 30th October, Fifa 10 (spit) is out on 2nd October.

But the EA ones are the ones that I used to play at uni an all, and they are more expensive than the 2k ones, and they look shinier!!

I'm going to buy a PS3 today, to act as a media centre for my television. However I was informed this morning that there is a price-cut coming either this week or next week on the console. Anyone know anything about this?

I wouldnt think so Zig, this so called price cut has been rumoured for ages now... I have been hearing about it for months now, seriously, so I wouldn't hold my breath if I was you...

Good idea Zig by the way, I have all my iTunes copied over to my PS3 now and plenty of films on the hard drive, its near full so thinking about getting a bigger one...

Good man ONL. Went and got one today off a friend of mine that owns GAME in Omagh. Got an 80gb PS3. Not much of a gamer, mainly got it to be a media centre and Blu-Ray player. Got two films for it, Zach and Miri Make a Porno and Tropic Thunder. Will get my iTunes copied over in due time and CDs.

The Dark Knight is the only Blu-Ray I have at the minute, it is spectacular in hi-def... Heard Wall-E is suprisingly good on Blu-Ray as is the Planet Earth series if you're into that sort of thing.
