Surely mcgeeny will say enough is enough and keep him away from panel. A distraction at this stage

Confirmed by management tonight. No loss to Armagh his constant distraction.

Yet several folks here said I was talking rubbish....

Not really something to be bragging about it is it? Hopefully the man gets the help, it would appear, he needs
100%.

A real shame.

What's is the problem and stop talking cryptic
Personal issues which I'm not about to go in to detail about on here.

Hopefully he works out whatever it is.

Talented, top class player which our game needs.
100%. New rules are made for the man.

On a positive note the brothers are playing- Oisin looks to have slimmed down and is in great nick, hit a few lovely scores last night, Aaron came on and got a good score as well.

ONeill

Quote from: LCohen on January 03, 2026, 10:02:11 PMIn one sense happy enough with Armagh last night. We were well on top but folded at the end. A lot of changes though. Not massively concerned with that aspect.

On another note I would be more concerned (and not much less concerned if I was a Tyrone supporter). The tactics and approach of both teams, if persisted with to the summer, will win very little (possibly a division 2 title for Tyrone) but nothing serious. Too early in the season to be unduly negative on this point but I'd assume both fans will want to see a development of their attacking approach.

Agree with this. I'd hoped it was a chance for a bit of experimental risk-taking, but it was obvious from Tyrone's first possession that it was more of the same.

The ball will never be landed on top of an isolated FF v FB. That's a pity, especially when the keeper is scrambling back from the 50.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Blowitupref

From Cahair O'Kane

QuoteMatch in Letterkenny is off because of road conditions, the pitch itself was playable as reported half an hour ago, apologies for any confusion but that's how it was at the time
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

SouthOfThe Bann

Not Mckenna cup related

But am I correct in saying Sligo played 2 games in 2 days there?

Rian O'Neill has off-field issues, about which I won't speculate. He needs to be given time to sort himself out. Somethings are bigger than football. Fair play to Geezer he seems to have tried his best to help and protect him.

Yep.

Say what you want about Geezer but he'd move heaven and earth for his players.

Game vs Down moved to Armagh

Good move, there might be reasonable crowd, especially of Armagh people, and the Athletic grounds has shelter and a reasonable pitch.

Pitch was deemed not playable the other day.

Ethan Rafferty named as an outfield sub for Armagh tomorrow night interesting move given lack of depth at minute in middle and some questionable kickouts the last day.

It's where I'd have him, kickouts were awful against Kerry (not all on him obviously) and poor the other night, plus as you say we're light at the minute around the middle.

And poor against Dublin as that's where Kerry did their homework on Rafferty kick outs.  Talk that Blaine Hughes was gone for the year has proved to be nonsense. He needs to be restored as number 1 now.

Joe O Connor was the problem more than anything, against Armagh and Donegal some of the best fielding from a player I ever seen
