Quote from: Puckoon on April 26, 2026, 02:59:28 AMPlayed a proper scramble today. Proper as in no mulligans, no nonsense, not a fundraiser type scramble. We shot a gross 60, with a handicap of 6 for a net 54. Came tied for 14th. 14th!!!

Winners shot a gross 56, for a net win of 50. Wild Wild shooting. They aren't even that good, none of them ever compete in the individual or 2 ball games. One of the lads does win the match play regularly. We missed 3x 10 footers but didn't have a chance at a gross 56. We had 2 eagle putts come to within an inch. Condensed down, we never stood a chance at winning.

Stupid Game.

54 just not good enough to get it done now.

Probably would get you around 2nd/3rd in our place because there is always a ridiculous score in. Team handicaps need to be capped, we've had teams out with 28 shots which is nonsense.

I love a scramble but never compete as handicap too low and most playing partners the same.

Yes. Starting 10 or 15 under is a strange proposition for a scramble. There doesn't seem to be a fair way across the board to handicap that particular game. I think at a minimum we need to move into decimal places for the handicaps.

Puckoon

Quiet on here with a major starting.

Really would like to have backed Rose, but this switch to MacLaren irons has not been great for him. He loves to t**ker at the wrong time.

Got 6th in the draft, hoping to get one of Fleetwood or Fitzpatrick.

Think Cam Young might have a great shot this week however.

Would be great to see Rory win them all, but I doubt it will happen.

JPGJOHNNYG

Rory started fairly solidly but 3 quick bogeys towards the end of the round and all of a sudden it's looking rather shit

But won't be far off the lead really.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

A 2 way miss is an impossible thing to win with.

He somehow managed it at Augusta but his driving has been poor this year. He was 90 out of 91 at the Masters.

JPGJOHNNYG

His driving and putting were desperate yesterday. I thought he was taking all this time off from the PGA to prep for this tournament but they were saying on TV he only had the one round at the course before this week

Course going to be tough today, scoring conditions won't be great and don't see anyone making a massive charge - but also harder for the lads over par to get back into the tournament or make the cut

Lowry with a poor round, Rose all over the shop through 6 holes.

15th Par 5 is playing 5 yards shorter than the 16th par 4, course almost playing a full shot harder than yesterday

ONeill

Big charge from McIlroy.

Hard to pick a winner but he'll spook the others.
