Hello,

Im looking to become a hurling coach, hte standard of hurling coaching in england is shocking nearly as bad as Antrim. Is there an NGB award in hurling coaching in can do? I have emailed the gaa development officer and heard nothing back from them.

Every lunchtime when the boys are having there gurb, i nip outside and spend a good 30 mins beating a ball against a wall. striking off either side on the move, chest catches aswell as catching in the air. This can get a bit old, so im looking for some new activities that i can use to spice things up abit. Anything at all.

thanks G

you need to test your skills

stand close to the wall

see how many strikes and catches you can do in a minute. switch sides every 10 strikes. then try to beat that score
get someone else to hit the ball off the wall and you catch it - unpredictable ball.
get them to hit it low - practices first touch

there are loads of stuff you can do
