Mc Gonigle was not ginger.

Corner back Fitzgerald from galway...yer wee man from longford was ginger, Dessie Barry...serious forward. Mulligan from Tyrone is a real ginger.

Az - who was the lad played on your 82 team that had mad ginger hair? (corner back i think), maybe it was the contrast on the tele.

AZOffaly

Pat Fitzgeral I'd say. Himself and Mick were both gingers.

There you go AZ, I didn't leave him out on purpose!

Croí na hÉireann

Jaysus u have to have Gary Connaughton, ticks all the boxes, Goalkeeper, ginger and lunatic...
Westmeath - Home of the Christy Ring Cup...

#7
Silvie Linnane for corner back.

AZOffaly

There's stiff competition for the keepers spot on this. Tierney was all 3, as was Connaughton. But maybe the maddest, baddest of them all was Shane Curran, Cake, from the Rossies.

1. Gary Connaugton

It's starting to come together.  The lad from the Burbs gets the keepers spot

AZOffaly

I'd have to nominate Pat Fitzgerald for wing back so. Flame haired, and a little tiger as well.

Rossie11

Presume Silvie loughnane should be Linnane.
Kieran Fitzgerald or the rossies 91 allstar Enon Gavin might take his place as dont think Silvie was up to much with the big ball!!

Quoteyer wee man from longford was ginger, Dessie Barry

Dessie was miles better than either the current #14 or #15.
My hands are stained with thistle milk ...

AZOffaly

I agree Dessie Barry was a fantastic player.
