No AC/DC, Smiths, Joy Division, Cure.

Top ten depends on how I'm feeling.

QuoteThought it was a cover.

Parts of it were based on a Canadian country song, I believe, but most of it was made up.
My hands are stained with thistle milk ...

#11
1. Bright and Shining Sun - Acoustic Solo version - Steve Wall in his bedroom
2. Thousands are Sailing - The Pogues at their best
I could fill this with U2 songs alone but I'll only put in a couple. It could be any of dozens depending on what I've been listening to lately, so here are two in my head at the moment:
3. Miracle Drug U2
4.  An Cat Dubh/Into the Heart U2 (Boy)
5. Old Town Phil Lynnott
6. Ordinary Man Christy Moore (not really Irish but Christy has made it his)
7. An Dearg Doom Horslips ( ok its the guitar intro rather than the song)
8. Crazy Dreams Paul Brady
9. Rat Trap Boomtown Rats (Sorry I'm a certain age and I just love this)
10. Theme from Harry's Game Clannad - I just love it.

p.s. It took me ages to post this because I found myself listening to those above and more.
