I see Woods has been paired with Mickleson, that should be interesting.

Any tips? I always fancy Fuyrk on the hard courses.

Leg End

we're here for a good time, not a long time

The Real Laoislad

Fresh from my €1100 win in the TPC at Sawgrass  ;D ;D Go on Garcia ya f**king legend!!
I will be putting a few quid each way on Phil Mickelson and maybe as a dark horse a few yoyo's on Luke Donald
You'll Never Walk Alone.

Puckoon

So hard to bet the golf over here - no each way bets and tiger (on one leg) starts every tournamen @6/5!

Furyk looks good @ 15s.

#4
woods has won here 6 or 7 times but his us open record is crap (relatively! 2 wins from 11). stuart cink, phil and garcia are good e/w bets imo and if i have to go for one its garcia...

Harrington seems to be returning to some sort of form, given his finish last night. He's always a big game player and at 28/1 is good for a few bob.

Changing codes, back Djokovic (sp.?) for Wimbledon - second favourite at 7/2 but Federer looks vulnerable this year and Nadal wiped him yesterday.

The squinted eye

My favourite major.......i like to see the pro's struggling. The sheer difficulty of the course always lead to an exciting finish as anything can happen on each hole going down the finish. Harrington and maybe Cabrara again might be worth betting on, harrington for sheer scrambling ability which is vital for these courses. Cabrara I had missed as a potential winner last year but for such a long hitter he is a very confident man with the driver, no fear. Better to miss the fairway with a driver than a wood as unless you are close to the pin you have no chance of making it on in two with the rough as penal as it will be.

Tiger will struggle i think with his driving he missed the cut the last time he was just coming back from injury but you can never write him off, might be worth opposing at the odds he is at. At least you will get to see all his shots unlike some outsider who unless he is close to the lead you will not see

ANy chance someone could post a list of the current betting from eg Powers? Can't access any betting/odds comparison sites in work. Cheers.

DrinkingHarp

just for the pure odds and return on the money I would place 5 each to win on

Justin Leonard    66-1
Bart Bryant       125-1
Charles Howell   150-1
Craig Parry        750-1

Anyone of the 4 wins nice payback on a 20.

I believe the winner will not be one of the BIG name players (Woods, Phil, Furyk etc).

Gaaboard Predict The World Cup Champion 2014

venter

I reckon Ernie Els will have a big Tounament and he's a nice price at 50-1

WTF, two major wins in eleven tries against the best in the world, on the worlds toughest courses where the greens are like sheets of ice they are that fast, and you say thats a crap record!!!!

Garcia is an underacheiver that will never win a major, I hope he doesnt anyway.

Couldn't agree more (except when he needs to miss a putt to let Harrington win).

Cheers for posting the odds, I think Immelman will be carrying my hopes this week, some of his putting was unreal last weekend, and he's the kind of player who thinks his way round a course which will be vital this week.

As mentioned above, Els has been showing signs that a good week might not be too far away, or how about Andres Romero for an Argentinean double?

For a real outside punt Oliver Wilson e/w @ 250/1 - obviously no experience whatsoever at this level but it's amazing how often a player on good form keeps a run of good finishes going, and he's been on one for the last month or so.
