Things well overshadowed there with death of Brian Meehan trained French horse Jayarebe, after the poor horse collapsed.

Not anywhere close. Giant's Causeway remains the only Irish horse to go close on the dirt.

Three favourites winning out of six races so far so not really a blood bath?

I'm not a gambler but put on  bet a few times a year on the horses.

But I'd never do it on a festival or Grand National etc.

I'd pick some random race with about 6 horses in it.

Bad mistake by Townend at the last cost State Man the Champion Hurdle.

If the bookies have set the odds correctly then they should make a profit no matter which horse wins.

The amount of accas busted with Majborough/CH and BDA not winning means it was a big day for the bookies.

A couple of 7/1 favs winning wouldn't have cost the bookies too much either.

Wow bad day for me. Not one horse in top 3.

I do a treble each way.. not one finished in top 5! Lol. That's me done
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Any tips for Day 2? I was told that Solness at 10/1 in the Queen Mother was worth a look.

Cheltenham Day 2 Attendance:

2025 - 41,949
2024 - 46,771
2023 - 50,387
2022 - 64,431

The higher cost to attend with accommodation etc is keeping plenty away by the looks of it.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Look-Up!

Apparently lots of Brits flying to Benidorm to watch it.

Like everything now, theyve ripped the ass out of the pricing it seems.
