I just use this option all the time now on iTunes and Ipod.
Otherwise I would never get around to listening to most of my stuff at home and in the car.

Don't talk, I'm an ipod spa.  Had to get my 12yrs old cousin to put songs on at his house, and someone told me recently that now I have to put all my songs on from his computer.  Load a balls.

In iTunes
its on the menu on the left hand column of the iTunes window -
Party shuffle -   just click on it.
If it is not there, then go to - Preferences - and select it.

On iPod
"Shuffle Songs" can be selected in the menu, just turn on.
You´ll be amazed at what turns up  and if you don't like what is playing just click for the next selection.

I got sold on this Shuffle idea the other day when it dug up a few tracks from a forgotten Van Morrison live in 1974  It's too Late to Stop Now.

Has to be one of the tightest, cleanest, most perfect live recordings out there.
