Bernard has played one championship season and one league season so far and IMO has been the most impressive and consistant forward Dublin have had in that time.

Whatever about Connolly making the team, I'd be amazed if Bernard was to make way for him.

He has great natural talent and an eye for a pass, its the eye for a pass that his brother lacks.

QuoteI wonder will that 'mature' captain of yours be representing his county with distinction again this year by throwing headbutts to all and sundry in full view of the linesman.

Any proof there with that sweeping statement? How many headbutts were involved.

QuoteIt's ok though, as Sean Walsh was on first name terms with him and was able to guide him (the lineman) all throughout the game and give him a dig out by telling him what to do.

Ah you are scraping the barrel now. I know its 1977 since youse Jackeens beat us but this is stretching the imagination a wee bit. Any auld video evidence on that.

Get you're own house in order before you start criticising Dublin players..
It's no use offering more posts from Dubs as proof ??? and a Setanta report that doesn't even mention it.
Or offering accounts of a punch as proof of a headbutt ::)

I understand that the current value of a Dublin eyewitness account to a headbutt incident is that there was at least 5cm of fresh air in between both heads.

There are plenty more independent mentions of it:

Irish Examiner from Monday after the game:

"Galvin was hugely influential (except he was involved in a first-half incident with Paul Casey which could put his involvement in the final in doubt)"

http://archives.tcm.ie/irishexaminer/2007/08/27/story40946.asp

Kevin McStay mentions it 25 minutes into the game whilst commentating..

Lets not revisit the 'Freeman' headbutt incident, the difference is that YerraMike is being a hypocrite - castigating Brogan whilst ignoring Galvin's other side.

connolly is faster over 30m than anyone on the dublin panel. all up to him he has the talent to decide how good he wants to be, but he has to get his head right. no question about bernard brogan , a class footballer second after his brother as dublin's most important forward.

meant more than one.

That was Galvins punch on Casey which Bannon missed. He was too busy trying to keep up with what was happening elsewhere.
That's why I wrote, are you using evidence of a punch to prove a headbutt?

I'm telling you now Connolly won't make it. Unless its as a hurler.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

I'd be skeptical as to whether he will also. He has great talent no doubt. But talent isnt enough, I'd have doubts that he has the head for the highest level.

Obviously I'd be happy to be proved wrong!

I'd definately see Bernard Brogan as having a better future with Dublin than Connolly.

he'll only not make it jinxy if he doesn't want to. he's the most gifted forward we've produced since keaveney, ask darren fay has he had his knees out back into place yet after being turned inside out there recently by him. he not make it,but  it'll be down to him not a lack of talent. he'll only revive the hurling if he jacks in the football. i'

You're setting yourself up for a fall there Indiana.

Jinkxy believes that Fayser was only skint that day due to Meath being down two men, and if and when they face each other in Croke park, Fay will have him in his pocket.
