Anyone know how to re size or change the format of videos taken with a digital camera? They are coming out around 70MBs and Id like to maybe be able to email them (under 10MB would be great).

Cheers.

You could recode the video to a different format with Super:

You can play about with the setting until you find something suitable.

As Bar None said zipping them will make no difference.  If your using Windows XP you can zip files for free already.

What exactly is zipping a file, and why would you do it if it makes no difference to the size?

Mhic Easmuint

It can greatly reduce the size of files like word documents, databases etc.  But with videos/pictures it only makes a small difference.
It won't be any use trying to reduce a video file from 70MB down to 10MB

What's the make and model of the camera? Should be able to do it on the camera before shooting.

I use the technique as outlined here.

Using this method I can shrink a 1 minute video clip to about 10MB so that I can email it.

(Just noticed that you talk about a digital camera, mine was from a camcorder - still the technique might be the same.)
