"The C.C.C.C. of the GAA stated on Tuesday evening that they had taken the decision that Cork should forfeit the Allianz National League points to the opponents that they failed to meet in the first two rounds of the Leagues, Meath and Dublin in football and Kilkenny and Waterford in hurling.

Cork have also been fined €400 per game unfulfilled.  The remaining games in the National Leagues will take place as scheduled."

Don't agree with this decision. I think it is unfair on the other teams in Div. 2. I think Cork should have been thrown out of the league. Simple as that. They weren't able to sort out a simple dispute months ago and they should be punished for the ridiculous mess they caused. It's not Dublin or Meath's fault that they were awarded the points but it is unfair in the extreme. Another terrible decision by the GAA. The rules are clear as day but they have blatantly not followed them to protect one of the bigger Counties. Total disgrace imo.

I have to agree, while I supported the players all through their 'strike' I think this decision could lead to all sorts of problems later on.
