Improving grip on the hurley in wet weather

What is the best way to improve grip on the hurley on a real wet day, i've seen a few teams with a tub of some sort of powder and always wondered what it was. What about grip tape also

That's resin that they are putting on the hurls. It improves the grip alright, and you can put it on your hands too. i think it's the same stuff that weightlifters use to help with sweaty palms.

Towelling grip used to be the business, but on a real wet day it got soaked, and could rot. The new rubbery type grips seem to be okay as well, but maybe a bit of resin for the hands as well would be the ideal solution.

on a wet/ cold day its the problem with your hands. put meths on your hands and it does the trick.
