On a related topic I see Tullysarran have appointed John Grimley for this year, its on the Orchard County forum. That could be interesting, pitting himself against his own this year in Division 2. Although theyre casting aspersions that you might do them a favour to help keep them up!  ::)

Notice:

The GAA's Medical Scientific & Welfare Committee have advised that the most effective way to identify risk is for players over the age of 14 to undergo cardiac screening.
Healthy Hearts, Healthy Lives is a mobile heart screening service, set up by former Armagh GAA players John and Tony McEntee, providing cardiac screening to help prevent sudden deaths in young people who may have"Sudden Adult Death Syndrome".
In recent years a number of high profile sports stars have died suddenly from Cardiac Conditions - Patrick Dinsmore, 16 yr old Co. Down GAA player in Aug 2010; Cormac McAnallen, died aged 24 in 2004; Irish Schools Rugby Captain John McCall, collapsed and died while playing for the Ireland under-19 team against New Zealand in Durban, South Africa, in March 2004; Marc Vivien Foe of Cameroon and Phil O'Donnell formerly of Glasgow Celtic. These deaths have led to calls for screening of sports people.

Experts believe that every week in the UK at least 12 apparently 'fit and healthy' young people die of undiagnosed heart conditions. A simple cardiac screen can identify such potentially life threatening conditions.

Healthy Hearts, Healthy Lives recommend individuals aged between 14 - 30 years old attend screening. The screening cost £35.00 per person, and takes five minutes to complete the non-invasive and pain free procedure.

Armagh Harps will consider arranging group sessions if enough interested parties are identified. If you are considering a screening please contact Colm O'Hare (mob: 07717731839)  or Tony Kelly (tonyarmagh@hotmail.com) for further details.
