Nail Loney - please explain to me how this is any more or any less of a mug's bet than picking teams to win and lose? For either type of bet, if you choose to research, and all the stats point to your bet being successful, then if it doesn't come up it's not because you're a mug, it's because of the human element i.e. foootballers are human, so have good days when you don't expect, and have bad days when you least expect.

I can't wait to read your theories, especially as on the horse racing thread you proudly told us of placing your largest ever bet on a NOVICE who was odds-on, despite having next to no formlines against the rest of the field.

Oh and Punchestown as well.....All betting is luck but you do tend to study the goalscoring patterns of the teams playing...

Couple of questions our nail,

1. I have put a fiver on lescott & Everton 1-0. Lescott was 25/1 (I had a tenner on that as well

) & 1-0 win was 9/1. Is there a scorecast chart I can look at online? Or wud u have a rough idea of the odds.

2. I posted yesterday about my bets alves 2-1 & adabeyor 2-0. Adabeyor came on in the 65th minute, it was 0-0. Will the bookie pay out as adabeyor being a non runner, or because it was 0-0 wen he came on was the bet live?

1. I dunno about online but there is a chart we have in work, I am just home there now though so i cant look it up for you sorry!!

2. Adebayor would be counted as playing as he came on before the first goal was scored
