Square Ball

doesnt matter what the score is in the Luton match, I bet the BBC reporters will use phrases along the line of plucky little Luton

Minder

What about everyones favourite commentators quote? Mine is when Motty screams "we have a cup tie on our hands now" when a team scores a goal to only trail 5-1.......
"When it's too tough for them, it's just right for us"

5 Sams

My favourite one of Motty's is when he was commentating on Engerland V Germany and he said something like......

"..and here come the Germans again......Kuntz!!!

Down to 16...and only 6 of the 'big boys'

It must be the lowest ever number of top flight teams left in the last 16? In addition it must be a rare time that none of the 16 4th round games goes to a replay!

John Motson is one annoying bollocks. The BBC hype is awful but it's still a bit of interest for the smaller clubs. Liverpool, Man City, Newcastle & Spurs would all love to win it and all must have a chance.

the gap between premiership teams and the rest mustnt be as big as people think. i dont buy the notion that a lot of premiership teams couldnt care less about the FA cup. it is still a trophy and dont tell me that the likes of man city, newcastle, spurs etc wouldnt take a piece of silverware.

magpie seanie

In one off games the teams from lower leagues can do it but over the course of a season the bigger squads of the Prem teams is the difference.

Looks like another United Chelsea final is on the cards.

Or as they just said on sky sports news, the dream final

Dunno your holiness, if Portsmouth put  out a full team at Old Trafford they have a very good chance of taking United IMO.  United v Chelsea final would be crap to watch as opposed to a Chelsea/United v Barnsley/Bristol Rovers final
