I cycle past these tents everyday. Reasonably tidy . On grass verge I dont see where they are a threat to public health and safety. This is shocking that someone would use a grabber to lift a tent and not check if someone is in it. First. Total disegard.

All sounds a bit fake-newsy. As a parent of teenagers who who have long grown out of the kids section of the library I can't imagine a judge anywhere in the developed world jailing a librarian for doling out books to children except in egregious cases of sexual grooming.

Not to defend the inexcusable in that piece but pigs are notorious for their cannibalism. It's fairly common for sows to consume their young as they're birthing them. Most sows are farrowed in crates that prevent them from doing it but left to their own devices some sows will consume a large portion of their litter.

Likewise adult pigs housed together have a ferocious blood lust. Even a small wound can very quickly be opened up to the gaping holes seen in that video. I've seen pigs lose half their face to the others in the group from quite small cuts to their face. Pigs teeth are all clipped at birth to try and prevent them developing a habit for wounding each other but it doesn't fully negate their nature.
