Belfast & Dublin are two spots to avoid at all costs at the minute. I could possibly accept the being ripped off bit, when the nightlife and entertainment balanced it out. But my last few nights in both have put me right off. Would have had better nights in the local town, and had the shillings in the pocket in the morning.
Belfast in particular has went downhill at some speed. I know people will say, depends where you go. But can honestly say I've had nights out in cathedral, Lisburn Road, titanic area etc over last 12 months and all poor enough.

Have to agree - Belfast is quickly becoming a no-go area.
One of my kids will hopefully start uni this year, thank feck she didnt even consider Belfast.

It's probably a symptom of how widespread Cocaine use is in Ireland. They're doing on the street what the great and the good are sneaking off into the toilets to do.

That's not cocaine and they regularly shoot up in the side streets

Belfast has an addiction problem that the likes of Dublin Glasgow and Edinburgh had in the 90's
