Why do boxers never get a bloody nose in the ring ?

He'll have to find work tomorrow unfortunately

I mean that he has made enough money to at least have the mortgage cleared and a holiday! There'll be no one at that level getting multi million pay days. Tough aul game.

The amateurs at his level are better off financially than most pros after they have had the government grants from both sides of the border.
Really? I thought the likes of him would be getting a decent lift.

He'll get plenty of media work etc if that what he wants you'd imagine.

He'd have made a few quid but not enough to set him up for life. I'm not sure if Conlan has the skillset for media work in the way that Frampton had/has. He'll more likely go into the promoting/management game with his brother.

A lot of vitriol on social media from the other side of the house about his retirement.

Milltown Row2

He'll not get the same media jobs as Carl, look there is no problems nailing your colours to the mast, but be rest assured that it will come with the typical response from themuns, that will have an effect on his potential earning power for doing the media side of things.

Promoters make the real money, and having the inside track on Carl, and knowing what went on there its crazy how fleeced you can be when everyone outside of it thinks your are making 'big dough'

As I said, the big money are the big named middle weight fighters at the top of their game and the heavy weights..

Brian Magee drove to Denmark I think for his last fight with Mikkel Kessler..
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

It's a living but as said the poke is only really in heavyweight or the occasional Mayweather or Pacquiao. He won't be broke, but he had to hire a sizeable entourage.

I'm not sure if he is a pundit or an agent.

Or you can have dads that were 10 times better fighters and make £15m from 2 fights off the back of their names.

The Saudis coming in seems to have made fighters from other divisions other than heavyweight richer but its a case of right place right time to get those fights.

bennydorano

Chisora v Wilder. If itgoes 3rounds I'll be surprised

BennyHarp

Wilder is such a terrible boxer. One trick pony looking for the big right hand and how many times is he going to get hit with that overhand right?
That was never a square ball!!

bennydorano

Mess of a fight, Ref out of his depth, thought Wilder won comfortably tbh no matter how much the Brit Dazn commentators tried to talk up Chisora

JoG2

Great entertainment. Wilder landed a few jabs, other than that 2 x 40 year olds windmilling.

SaffronSports

Low in quality but high in entertainment tbf.

Baile Brigín 2

Fury won a snoozefest.

The most entertaining bit was him calling out Joshua who laughed at him.

Jim Bob

Plenty of wobbly bits on fury
