First time I've listened to a Katie Taylor interview in a while and there were very clear signs of cognitive decline for me. "Punch drunk" in old timers' language.

Her speech is distinctly slurred - over a year since I heard her. Surely people around her see this?

Heard her this evening, thats a big worry, there's nearly a stutter there now to every sentence. Surely somebody  had to have picked up on this in her boxing team.

I heard her and it didn't sound any different to how she always sounded. She has a harsh voice.

She is getting older. 39 years old now. The soft spoken eccentricities leave us all.

Time to call it a day after this one.

G'wan Katie!

There'll be a Cameron trilogy fight I expect and that'll be that.

What a woman. Ireland's Greatest Sportsperson.
Nordie Tayto is shite

She's not even Irelands greatest woman sportperson

That was a technical masterclass by Taylor in MSG in a match that never lived up to the hype. She was the one landing hard punches while Serrano was throwing a lot of poorly executed punches at thin air. Thankfully two of the judges knew what they were doing because the whole thing seemed orchestrated in favour of Serrano. If Katie retires now, she'll go out on top.

She's good at what she does and has done it at the top level for two decades. Being at the top of the pile. No need for any other measurement.

I couldn't hack the studio judge giving the 5th round to Serrano as that was Katie's smartest round, she hit Amanda with a 4/5 punch combination to get ahead after one minute and stayed away out of trouble for the last 30 seconds.
How many times was the word "headbut" mentioned throughout the coverage?

There are possibly 1500 professional women boxers, as a sport it's a very small pool to be in

That's not her problem she's consistently been top of her tree and fair play..

As a spectacle it's not my cup of tea, it's one sport that I'm not convinced that women should be competing at, we know the damage/dangers it holds for men, I fear it will be a lot worse when studies are done for the ladies

Womens boxing is a hard watch. The skillset isn't at the news level and the lack of power removes a significant portion of the entertainment value. Only watched Taylors fight today, thought she got it 6-4. Tight fight throughout though.
