He was losing it before McMillan stripped it from him.

The NFL catch rule has been a mess for years.

The biggest issue I have with it is the officials should have an option along the lines of "impossible for the human eye to ascertain - replay the down".

That was nobody loses, nobody wins.

The second last pass interference call on Buffalo was a scandal btw. There was no precedent in the match for officiating like that.

gallsman

What? Johnson isn't looking at and makes no attempt to play the ball. Instead be grabs Sutton's arm. Not the worst offence in the world and certainly not as bad as Tre White's one, but a "scandal"? Not a chance.

Besides, there was a blatant, stupid roughing the passer call as well so any yapping over it is over the two yards of difference between the 17 yard PI penalty and the 15 for roughing.

My point is that in the context of the match it wasn't a foul. They didn't throw a flag in the back field the entire match no matter what was happening.

You're correct on the roughing call.

Having watched it again and compared it to both the Bears v Rams game and the Bears Packers a few weeks ago I can't tell the difference between three incidents which look identical but have resulted in three different rulings.

Capt Pat

Broncos are leading patriots 7-0 in the first quarter of the afc championship game. They are not missing nix so far.

gallsman

They've started very well on both sides of the ball.

Capt Pat

Patriots have the edge on the scoreboard at the start of the fourth quarter 10-7. However the windy wintry conditions might favour the broncos.

Either of the other 2 teams hammer these lads.

No chance.

NE and Denver both have sensational defences. Hammerings aren't part of the equation.

They do because they've got the lead. If Maye had to pick out a white shirt chasing down 3 points, it would be working against them.

gallsman

True though.

Dreadful decision to throw that from Stidham. Like he was chasing the previous one he didn't throw.
