Watched this over the weekend, the wife says, who recommended this to you, it's just porn! I'm banned from all movie recommendations for a while. To be fair there's an awful lot of riding in it.
She should see the stuff you watch when she's out of the house!

Watched The Handmaid. Not a bad show.  A few twists and turns. 6.5/10

The wife wants to see this. Watched by legal means or other. If other, where?  ;)

Shades of From Dusk Till Dawn from the 90s, but much better film.

Rocky Road to Dublin scene is awesome!

Yep - really good movie.

Legal, unfortunately.  Maxx cinema.  It was actually pretty full. must be popular as I believe the books are.  Sydney Sweeney is worth a watch  ;)

The wife dragged me to this but she was the one who ended up regretting it when we seen Sydney in action

Quote from: gallsman on January 26, 2026, 07:35:09 AMThe twist in No Way Out is completely pointless though   ;D

The movie is over and then they basically throw it in as the credits roll.

Exactly, and the movie is so amazingly shite you have long forgotten about the aspect that becomes the twist. I mean the limousine scene is just shockingly bad.

Train Dreams.

Sort of a western. About a quiet, decent, orphan lad who grows up and tries to build and live a life in the Pacific NW as the frontier vanishes and he is surrounded by random tragedy and racism.

Really enjoyed it.

Small role for Kerry Condon, who's having a moment alongside the other Irish actors, fair play to her.

She was in F1 with Brad Pitt too, albeit a more central role, which I also saw recently. By the numbers somewhat, but still a good watch, although you probably have to have at least a passing interest in the sport.

The Irish Times film guy says it's just a boring film about a boring person, but technically a good movie.

However the funding of the film is unique. $28m of the $40m budget went to Melania. Unheard of. And also as FLOTUS is unpaid, ethics legislation doesn't cover her, so completely legal. Well played Amazon, bunged the Trumps, in public, legally.

Melania IS the star after all!

Holy moses its even more. The maker says he hired all the best people , and that is expensive.
