Good quality torrent available.
Enjoyed it, some aspects of the story didn't know about, mad.

Went to see La La Land and was seriously underwhelmed. Couldn't recommend it to anyone. If Mamma Mia (6.5) was a pleasant singalong with a large dollop of feelgood factor this claptrap is a 4 at best and possibly that is being generous.

PW Nally

Arrival, top class movie. Not normally into sci-fi futuristic stuff but a good story well told and Amy Adams immense in the lead role. 9.99/10

The Iceman

Magnigicent 7- worth a 7. Fun watch. Throwback to childhood westerns with a great cast with good chemistry
Kickboxer Vengeance. 4 - was hoping for some childhood nostalgia - Van Damme, Kickboxer remake...some funny parts in tribute to the original but not a patch on the original at the same time...

Really looking forward to Trainspotting 2 in a way I have never done for any other film. Meeting of Begby and Renton will  be interesting I would think.

Saw Passengers at the weekend. Top notch. Great story and mostly good physics too, despite a few little bloopers.

Rawhide

Went and seen 'Split' at the weekend, really good movie, no bother recommending it

The oscar nominations are in ...

Arrival -9/10
Fences -9/10
Hell or high water 9/10
Hackshaw ridge 8/10
Hidden figures 8/10
Lion (I haven't seen it yet )
La la land 7.5/10
Moonlight 8/10
Manchester by the sea 8/10

All v different films no big stand outs for me this year, but I'd go with fences and Denzil for actor win.
Not nominated but I really enjoyed 'Jackie'..

And congratulations to Ruth negga on her leading actress nomination.. she's come a long way from love/hate.
I'm trying to decide on a really meaningful message..
