I watched Concussion last night. It was strange watching Will Smith with a Nigerian accent.  I enjoyed the show, although it is a little slow paced.  6/10

First trailer out for the Rogue One Star Wars spin off. Looks like it'll be along similar lines.

Just saw Midnight Special. Top quality bit of Sci Fi. One of the best films I've seen so far this year. Bit slow at first, but when they start feeding you clues about what's going on it becomes gripping, and the payoff at the end is mind-blowing.

Watched the latest Mad Max last night. What are film producers smoking. I have no problem with equality between the sexes but my god this whole empowering women thing in the films is starting to get to much. The wife was watching it with me and she even commented that was over the top. The story was rubbish the cast were poor and the CGI was well CGI. All in all a poor remake.

It's a great flick. Hardly a re-make of the original either, I dunno where you get that from. And a lot of the special effects were practical.

Watched Spotlight. Ok movie but wouldn't go as far as best picture. Not a patch on The Big Short in my opinion.

I think I've seen that type of desert, vehicle chase concept before, which took up most of this film.  It was very well made but dead otherwise.
Not a film I'd watch with my wife.
