Thought Wolf was excellent, much better film than Hustle in almost every way.
It got a bit lost around the time of the storm at sea and from there on was a bit disjointed, but still a great film, and I didn't see the 3 hours as too long, which I had expected to.
12 Years a Slave was fantastic as well I thought. Best film I've seen in years.

Of the big 3 new ones:
1. 12 Years a Slave
2. Wolf of Wall Street
3. American Hustle

I thought it was very disjointed, the scene with the wife leaving him and the storm, the fight in the morning, in fact a lot of the bits around the wife seemed to be just there to get the hottie on screen and didnt fit into the narrative
Excuse me for talking while you're trying to interrupt me

Agree 100%. We should do coffee.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Just finished "her". Don't think it's out here yet.

Man falls in love with his computer. Mad concept but thought it was class. Some will detest it.

Hmmmm, mad concept? Plenty characters on here would love that :P
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Scarlett Johansson plays the Operating System. Joaquin Phoenix even rides the PC.

Scoring highly on RT so someone agrees with me. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/her/

Lost in Translation-ish.

I love this idea.

I want OS Mavericks to manage the Mayo football team.

That would shut Spillane and O'Rourke up....................if not Brolly.

Newbridge Exile

We took our little man to see Frozen yesterday, adults and children all thoroughly enjoyed it

Went to watch The Armstrong Lie tonight. Great show with some great highlights of all the lies he told in press conferences, interviews etc. That Queens Film Theatre is full of head cases though.

Dinny Breen

Think it's a few years old but just watched that Indonesian movie The Raid, f**k me, relentless and totally enjoyable.

The Raid is a great action movie But it might be hard to recreate the magic of the original

Lone Survivor - 8/10. Great show, intense stuff
Walter Mitty - 8.5/10. Top class

Watched "Dead Man Down" last night with Colin Farrel and the doll out of the dragon tattoo movies.
Decent enough watch, classic revenge flick.
7/10.

Main Street

I'm curious to see what Scorsese makes out of this hedonistic tale in Wolf of Wall Street.
It's hard to credit that the protagonist of this $200m swindle served less than 2 years in a minimum security prison.
I watched Boiler Room all those years ago but it made a pig's ear out of telling the actual story.

The Armstrong Lie gets a 7.5 rating from me. A documentary based on Lance Armstrong's attempted comeback in 2009 and his seven previous tour de France wins and his downfall.

The Ulster players off the Irish team Also fancied a night out at the cinema. Paddy Jackson sat down beside me with Trimble. Rory Best was in the row behind.
