I'm surprised nobody's mentioned former Kildare legend Bill Sex. Dinny must be off at the rugby..

Iggy jones used to be down watching the training at spca in the old days, if I remember correctly. Between him and noel mclurg I used to get sore ears.

Remember a couple of hurlers called prenderghast (not sure of spelling). Where does that originate from? Thought it was great name and a bit unusual.

Can't believe nobody's mentioned Bill Sex of Kildare :o  My own favourite is Kerry's midfielder from the 80's, Ambrose O'Donovan.  I believe he played for a club called something like Gneevnaguilla(???).  Doesn't come much better than that!!

In hurling, Galway always unleashed a few strange ones, apart from Sylvie Linnane I remember watching a Murty Killyleagh.

I was there and yous weren't in!!
