Armagh
Derry
Donegal
Sligo

It's very apparent now that Kerry are well ahead of the rest of us.

One could make all sorts or arguments about the chasing bunch, but the fact is that Monaghan ran Kerry closest.

I haven't included any Connacht team, because, quite simply, the standard of Connacht football this year was atrocious.

i like the way i didn't include the team who whipped the arse of armagh this year.

A bit unfair to have Armagh still in there, its 4 years since they did anything of note, surely Derry are better?

Okey doke.  I have put Derry in and agree they're not getting the credit they deserve for a creditable year.

Apologies.

Tough call as its a tight chasing pack, but I honestly believe its Dublin.
Then again I would  ;)

:)

Based on this years performances, I though the dubs were good. Based on players, Tyrone are on a par with Kerry.

Then Id say Derry, armagh, Mayo, Cork, Donegal would be in a group behind them.

Sligo made a quarter final, and should be in that list instead of Armagh.

Should we not base it on football and results?

Dublin in my opinion at this point in time would be second best - thereafter - Tyrone, Monaghan, Meath, Derry but not necessarily in that order.

While I agree with the second part of that statement I still think you should probably have left it up to the voters.
An interesting question though - Kerry aside, I don't think there is anything between the top 8/10 counties at the moment.

how the hell did Derry get two votes (so far) in this poll ? ? ?

U meant like what happened the last time this Tyrone team met Kerry?

Tyrone have two problems, they cant get their players fit.

Their second problem, quite possibly their biggest problem is:

They haven't quite recovered from that day in healy park! ;)

For coming close to the mighty Dubs, a great achievement  ;)

Okay,  I have added Sligo and Donegal, but while Donegal may be the second best team in Ulster, I don't believe the same can be said of Sligo in Connacht.

If Dublin are the second best team in the country, gaelic football is in bother because they won't make any more progress under Pilliar.  Their style of play is all wrong.

I think it's an intriguing question because the way the game is played has become cyclical so quickly.  The running game is fading out (which is why I think the Dubs are in bother) and managers have to be two steps ahead all the time.

Let me get this right, there are people here who think a team who haven't made a final in 12 years is the second best team in the country. ::)

How can you not mention Monaghan in your list here!!!
I gave my vote to Monaghan simply on the basis that they ran Kerry closest, on the evidence of this years championsip the ONLY other teams who will have a chance against Kerry next year are Dubs and Tyrone
