U-16 B All Ireland Hurling 2007


Venue: Westmeath/Mullingar area Date: Saturday, August 25th 2007

Three venues – each with two pitches in operation - four Counties at each venue and each County to play each other.

Group 1: A.Carlow B.Kildare C.Down D.Roscommon – in Robinstown/Mullingar (St. Oliver Plunkets)
Group 2: A.Laois B.Wicklow C.Armagh D.Kerry – in Kinnegad.
Group 3: A.Westmeath B.Meath C.Derry D.Mayo – in The Downs

Layout to the Day

9.30am – 10.30 Arrival/Registration (Refreshments at each venue)

11.00am Round 1 [A v D, B v C in each group] (30min games/2 x 15 for Rds 1, 2 & 3)
12.00noon Round 2 [A v C, B v D in each group]
1.00pm Round 3 [A v B, C v D in each group]

2.00pm Break / Tea & Sandwiches at each venue

[At this stage teams will be graded No.1, 2, 3, & 4 in each group – based on results. New groups formed for A, B & C Semi Finals. A – Top 3 plus best runner up. C – Bottom three plus weakest third placed team. B – Remaining four Counties. Some Counties will have to move to new venue - A Semi Finals in Robinstown, B Semi Finals and Final in The Downs, C Semi Finals and Final in Kinnegad]

3.30pm Semi Finals x 6 (40 min games/2 x 20 – same for Finals)
Evening meal served to beaten B and C semi finalists once games have ended.

4.30pm B Final in The Downs / C Final in Kinnegad
When B and C Finals have ended, Counties have evening meal at their venue

4.45pm 3rd/4th place play off (for beaten A semi finalists) – in Cusack Park

5.45pm A Final – in Cusack Park
(All Counties are invited to travel to Cusack Park to Watch Final)

6.40pm Presentations for A Final, B Final and C Final – all in Cusack Park.

7.00pm Meal for remaining Counties

Laois beat Kerry in the final

Kerry won their group beating Armagh, Wickow and Laois
Roscommon won their group beating Carlow, Kildare and Down
Meath won their group beating Westmeath, Derry and Mayo

Laois beat Roscommon in semi, Kerry beat Meath

don't have all the scores, sorry
