Im for boston for a few days from next saturday onwards, anyone recommend good spots to catch the Dublin Kerry game?

Is there anything that would be worthwhile seeing/doing in boston apart from sluggin my brains out?

theres also the banshee on dorchester avenue, only 5 mins walk from JFK T-stop...id check out Harvard square, serious talent spotting to be done there aswell as Rivere Beach and Nahant. For night spots your spoiled for choice, the clubs down by Fenway aint bad, especially Tequila Rain, again serious talent spotting to be done there (though seriously stupid rule that you cant have anymore than one drink in hand at one time), also around Fenual (sp?) hall theres a pile of bars to choose from. JJ Foleys on East Berkley street is like the bot of boston, everyone lands to it late clean wrote and gets even more drunk, great craic. also the littlest (if still open) is great nyt on a monday even though its completely packed with 25ppl in it.

Also finaly try the Waterworks nightclub in Marina Bay and check out all the lovely ladies playing beach volleyball...  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

hitzelsperger, you just summed up my summer of madness in boston from a couple of years ago!! I think the littlest is now closed though unfortunately, monday nites in it were unreal! And waterworks, it has to be seen to be believed!

The Black Rose near Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market is a good bet.

I was there for a month earlier this year (Boston, not the bar...) certainly plenty to see and do. And you'll have the advantage of not going around in -10 degrees as I was!

If you're into history, plenty of fascinating stuff. Walk round Freedom Trail which will take you round a good part of the city, famous sites such as Bunker Hill, old buildings and graveyards relating to the colonial and revolutionary eras. Round Faneuil Hall market place you'll find plenty of bars etc, also some very good restaurants that specialise in seafood among other things. The North End is the Italian distrcit which is worth getting to, again the food is one of its main draws.

You should definitely get yourself to Cambridge too - it's the home of Harvard University and is like a little colonial-era European bubble. A few good bars there too, Grafton Street and the Irish nar Tommy Doyle's. Cambridge is a few stops on the T from Boston city centre.

Also the JFK presidential library and museum is worth a trip - out near U Mass so you'll have to travel a wee bit on the T. In terms of sport, depsending on what sport has its season on you could go and see the Celtics (basketball - I saw them lose their 13th match in a row...) or the Red Sox (baseball), tickets for both are easy to come by.
