Captain Scarlet

The mad things is Spurs fans and their players think a lad like Dyche is beneath them.

Sorry but Van der Ven is not a good player. Top speed is all you hear about!
Then team him up with Romero and thats a bad pair.

They have so many flaky and downright poor players.
The table doesn't lie, and they are down there 2 years in a row.
them mysterons are always killing me but im grand after a few days.sickenin aul dose all the same.

Europa league winners last season.

16 consecutive seasons in the top 8 of the  "greatest league in the world" from 2008 to 2024.

Champions league final 2019.

Of course Dyche is beneath them. You've an agenda if you think otherwise.

That's the spirit. Enjoy Oxford United away next year.

Mourne Red

Europa league far less prestigious in current format. No champions league teams drop down so easier too win it.

Mason/Sherwood will probably be brought in after the Liverpool game to give the spuds a boost. Being an Arsenal fan I obviously want them to go down but I think they'll be fine in the end, should get 2/3 wins to save themselves

I agree with you on the Europa League. Within a few years it'll be no more or less prestigious than the LD Vans cup.

Point still stands though. Spurs have ended up in an almighty mess because they've selected successive managers (and now an interim) who haven't the aura / bravery / authority / will / ability to inspire a squad coming down with big money international players who are too talented to play anything but flight football, but tend to be missing the application (or brains) to be a properly good flight footballer.

Frank was truly dreadful appointment. There were simply no signals that he could run a team of big time charlies.

The last thing the club needs now is a Sean Dyche character, ie someone who has no track record of taking inflated egos and gelling them. His speciality is a tier or two down from Spurs.

Captain Scarlet

2019 was a different era and no point going that far back.

Spurs finished 17th? last year and are down there again with the same bunch of players and even more chaos on the sideline and boardroom.

That's the reality and you have international players who simply are not arsed listening to a manager and think they can jump ship without the stain of those performances.

I don't have an agenda and actually love Spurs down the years. Always a fun team to watch, but being honest the current group are pricks.

It's a structural problem. They have a fabulous stadium but they can't get a manager to put smacht on a decent set of players.

Van de Ven isn't great but he scored a stunna against Copenhagen

Roberto De Zerbi is already facing a fan backlash at Tottenham Hotspur over his previous support for Mason Greenwood.

Four supporter groups have claimed he should not be appointed because of his comments about the striker at Marseille.

De Zerbi, who has been offered a five-year deal at crisis-torn Spurs following the departure of interim manager Igor Tudor, signed former England forward Greenwood for the Ligue 1 club in the summer of 2024.

Frank made perfect sense for a medium term root and branch rebuild. In shocking news the board changed their minds after a few months. To do more of the same

Any prices on him not last 5 years?

Think RDZ would be a decent fit, plays a decent style of football which Spurs supporters will demand.  The Greenwood situation would have been difficult to manage.  Surprised by the backlash from fans, if they had kept Tudor they would be 100% going to the championship.

The backlash isn't about Tudor.

It's about a club that has spent all too long behaving like Sideshow Bob around rakes.

I know that.

RDZ has had a good record in the league before and plays a style of football the fans would buy into.

RDZ said Greenwood was a good guy who had paid a heavy price for what he done.  Would be difficult for him to come out publicly and say Greenwoods a sc**bag.

Spurs are in the mire, it's not about style of football in these last 7 games, it's about being hard to beat and picking up points, more than the Hammers, Forrest and Leeds who all have shown a bit of an upturn in performances recently.

Spurs are for me the most likely to go down out of those teams. They don't seem to have leaders with clear heads in that team.
