County Champions, County Captains. Is it right?

I may be wrong but I think it used to happen in Fermanagh until the early 90's (Terry Fergusons arrival?).

It is the GAA at its archaic worst, there are certain mangers that would probably feel obliged to pick a player because he is the captain even if he is not certain of making the team. The captain should be who the manager wants it to be.

I can remeber sean teague collecting the Ulster Championship dispite being taken off due to a shoulder injury
