Anyone been in the Sugar Club on Leeson St? Im heading to watch a gig there at the end of May. Its a Wednesday night so any recommendations on what to do after it, besides the after-party with the band if they let us in?

Nah, its not ourselves playing, its a group from the US called The Felice Brothers. Well worth watching though. Wednesday 28th May.

shark instead of red bull/ vodka always appears weak and you never get smirnoff
dirty
always packed
impossible to get to the bar at peak times
counter is usually covered in spilled drink
10/1 ration men to women
music is cat
you'll find yourself the next morning sawing your arm off with a broken lamp bulb rather than wake up the hulk beside you.

I know a lot of people hate temple bar but its a great night out - there is a bar called Fitsimmons or something which seems like a good spot to go to later on in the night. Its full of tourists from Europe, US and England. You might not see another crowd of irish people the whole night your in temple bar, you dont have to run into any of the dirty dubs. We went over the bank holiday weekend and then for New years though so i am not sure what its like every week.
