Boulevard of Broken Dreams - Bluegrass Tribute to Green Day.

There are so many Bluegrass/Newgrass covers of great songs, it's a genre that seems to lend itself so well to cover versions, maybe I'm a little biased.

And then we have this one. This is the greatest Bluegrass cover of them all, I was never a fan of Elton John, but this just knocks it out of the park. I'd love to see Elton play with Iron Horse. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdAyO1_0noM

The Mary Wallopers play in a friends pub in Dundalk on a Wednesday night, or they did before the lockdown, but they've played a few gigs online over the last few weeks online and it's been great craic. They're quare characters and if you can donate a few quid to any of your local bands or buy a t-shirt or some merchandise it will make a big difference to them, they're all struggling at the minute.

I've my older brother to thank for my love of Swords of a Thousand  Men by Tenpole Tudor as he played it to death, the fact I still love speaks volumes, a classic -

The lads are doing another live gig at 9pm, great nights craic and if you can make a small donation, not just to this band, but to any of us struggling musicians it would be greatly appreciated.

It's back in my head because a cover of it is in Normal People but Love Will Tear Us Apart by Joy Division is the greatest song ever written. Monday will be 40 years since Ian Curtis' suicide.
