Quote from: ONeill on November 23, 2024, 10:26:25 PMJust back from today's game. Very comfortable. And good to see players like Merino and Timber play well.

Interesting if he's having a rethink on Havertz, even though the German hasn't done much wrong.

Need to keep winning now.

Arsenal appear to be a tall team. Maybe I'm small.

Havertz has to be carrying something? No way he was dropped.

It was much more intricate today without him.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

He's been played in mf in recent games and has affected team. Think Trossard has been poor and lucky to start today.

ONeill

Trossard was good first half today. Tortured them at times. He's just not at the same level as Odegaard (who was close to world class today) and Jesus when it comes to close control.

ONeill

In good form this last week. 13 goals in 3 games.

Kiwior doesn't fill me with confidence though. Hope Gabriel not concussed as the Polish lad could be exposed v Utd.

From the Bunker

Arsenal are on course to have more draws in a season than the Invincibles had back in the day.

ONeill

Thought taking Odegaard was a rare one. Ok, he missed a few but he was starting to click with Saka and is the one man you want on the field when trying to break down a packed defence.

My young lad was at it and said Martinelli was getting serious abuse from the crowd.

Hard to know with Martinelli. Had one exceptional season but was that the exception. Need a threat on left. Saka carrying team on his own.

ONeill

Trossard blows hot and cold too.

The Sterling transfer a puzzler though you'd imagine he'll start midweek in the cup.

Rice is definitely carrying an injury.

Jesus seems to be on a downward slope unless something clicks soon.

ONeill

Aged a wee bit there.

Arsenal still not really clicking this year. Hard to beat alright, and enough talent to sneak a goal or two, but fairly predictable football.

Capt Pat

Saka is out for 2+ months. Title is Liverpools to lose.

ONeill

It's not that simple.

It just takes an injury to Salah and Liverpool are weakened. Or someone else. Don't rule out City going on a 14 game winning run.

Arsenal are doing ok but just not finding their groove. This time last year, Arsenal had turned two of those draws into wins. Liverpool had turned two of those wins into draws last year.

You can't call it at this stage.

Alright Captain Obvious. 6 points in it with over half the season to play!

Will be 9 once that game in hand is played against Everton
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

ONeill

That means nothing.

Young people today live in the present but it's surprising when older ones do as well and don't learn from previous experiences. It's the way of the world. In 4 game's time, the whole landscape can have changed.

I remember this time last year people on here stating that it was a 2-horse race between Liverpool and City, because Arsenal had 'shit the nest' after 2 losses. 10 wins later and Arsenal were top of the league.

Anything can happen in sport. And usually does.
