Champion The Wonder Horse

Irrelevant I know, but was a thing in Derry until the late 50s, but with three boards; north, south and city. One of the three divisional winners then got a bye to the final. Winners of south Derry championship got the Sean Larkin Cup.

In '85, Ardoyne beat Rossa in the South Antrim Junior Football semi-final on a scoreline of 2-1 to 1-2. A mouthful.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Puke football.

I do wonder was the O"Cahan cup something like the sean larkin cup in south west antrim. I think it did used to have more significance to it.

Nah, It defo was, it's been mentioned in many history articles. It would also have made sense years ago because of travel etc.

Well 100 years ago that would be difficult but if we look at the records I'm sure there's a mix of country and city games

This is why the records in Antrim should have been maintained better.

Fascinating history completely lost.

Antrim Coaster

The Junior Hurling Championship was played on a North v South Divisional board winners to determine the All County winners back in the 80's.

I think it was in the 90's when that was changed.
