Who was telling me Madden don't meet Newbridge lol.

Will Omagh be fit for a double header on Saturday evening? There's been a lot of rain over the last few weeks.

With it being the live RTE game would there be issues with extra time etc in the Intermediate game?

Presume the intermediate game is throwing in early enough to allow for any potential extra-time ?

Just checked - 17.00 and 19.15 - that side of it should be ok then.

Saturday should be the driest day of the week, and there should only be showers on Friday, not enough to cause a problem even in Omagh!

Is there another pitch for teams to warm up in Omagh or is it just the main pitch?

With some of the small sided games in warm ups now, it's sore enough on a pitch in wintery weather. Double that for 2 games.

Owenbeg is good, it has 2 pitches behind the main stand so teams can do their warm up there. Therefore double matches can take place with no issues.

Google earth will show you the 4G AstroTurf they have but no idea if anyone uses it for warmups. Only looks big enough for one team so unlikely.

An area from looks 25m by 20m.

St pats park, 5 mins down the road and has been used by teams to warm up on before.

Really shows up Tyrone county ground set up as joke it is that we are bundling boys into cars to drive them down the road for their warm up. Or are they running on the pavements with the boots on.
Omagh was over invested on with Dungannon and other groiunds being more suitable for atmosohere and history but Tyrone GAA overlooked this at the time.

I've heard Dungannon looking into seating the stand - would be a much better setting IMO mucker.

Although in saying all that Loughmacrory prefer to play in Omagh and protested that the first Carrickmore game was in Pomeroy so watch out Kilcoo! Good Luck Lough!

DaleCooper

Yeah the wide open spaces suit them, as do new rules. Hope officials are on high alert for Kilcoo, a red card or two would help a lot.

At full strength Lough would have a fair chance, no pressure on them and they have serious attacking power/pace.

Likely a cagey tight affair with Lough once again having potential to blow teams away with a purple patch.

Really interesting games this weekend.

Kingscourt 2/9  v Erne Gaels 7/2 – 10/1 draw
No idea how good Kingscourt are but Erne Gaels are getting the Fermanagh factor built into that price of 7/2, with a year's experience under their belt, they'll hardly roll over for the Cavan Champs

Scotstown 8/13 v Naomh Conaill 7/4 – 17/2 draw
I put down Scotstown as my tip for Ulster, but I really wouldn't be surprised to see NC beat them on Sunday.

Loughmacrory 13/5 v Kilcoo 4/11 – 17/2 draw
Has to be game of the weekend, great price for a Tyrone team at 'home'.

Madden 7/5 v Newbridge 4/5 – 8/1 draw
Stingy enough with the pricing here, I thought Madden might have been a bigger price for a novice County Champion, but the bookies aren't stupid.  Madden are a seasoned, physical outfit eventho it's their first run in Ulster.  They do have a tendency to shoot a lot of wides IMO, if they start off like that and it gets into their head they'll be beaten, but I think Madden have a great chance.

I could see at least 2 of these games going to extra time.  My double for the weekend Madden v Newbridge to draw and Loughmacrory to win.

Milltown Row2

Was impressed with Newbridge and if they take their goal chances then they'll knock up a big score.. that's a decent price
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Kingscourt missing Padraig Faulkner who has gone travelling.

Ciaran Thompson has missed the entire club championship for Naomh Chonaill. Turned out he did his cruciate in the AI Final. Big hole for NC to fill at this level, especially with his long range shooting ability.
